Golfer
(pencil)...Yes
this is an image of a golfer in the finishing
position of the swing. Look close and you will see
it.
This image applies
a 2-point perspective (2 vanishing points for the
lines in the image). One vanishing point is to the
far left and the other to the far right of the
image. The image is separated down the center. The
shapes you see shaded in were the shadows within
the original image. These shadows were then given
a 3D effect by drawing the their lines to the 2
different vanishing points. |
Innerself
(pencil, charcoal, paint)...This
image depicts some aspects of myself.
I'll let you view
and analyze and come up with your own thoughts on
who I am. That's part of what art is all about anyway, everyone's different interpretations.

Indian
Woman
(pencil)... A life drawing of an elderly indian
woman. The photo this was created from was found
in an old National Geographic magazine. This is
simply a strait forward rendering of the original
picture minus the color of course. |
Watch
(pencil)... Exactly that, a watch. I simply saw a
nice photo of an expensive watch with all the
highlights and variations and decided I would like
to draw it. You can fill in the date.
|
|
Face
(pencil)...
This is a life drawing of an individual that looks
allot like Napoleon but is not. The original
drawing is on a 9" X 14" page. So it is
relatively small.
|
Self
Portrait
(pencil)... OK, now you have a clue as to what I
look like.
This was created
while looking at myself in the mirror. I found it
to be somewhat difficult. Especially in trying to
keep the same position, since I had to look in
the mirror and then the drawing pad. |
|
Collage
(photoshop)... This was an image created from
multiple images and layered together. This was a
project where I had to depict an emotion. There were
7 layers to this image. Original is 8' X 10'.
|
Collage
with a twist
(photoshop)... The 3 faces created are from the
same black and white photo. This was created by
taken one side of the face and mirroring it to the
other side. Then doing the same to the opposite
side. Then mirroring the entire head shot to
create the upside down images. I then applied
color to sections of the entire image. Which set is the
original headshot? |
|
Hand
(ink)...Yep
a hand...abstract of course.
The hand is the
large white space in the center of the picture.
There have been some other elements added and
subtracted to the image for abstraction. The shape
in the upper right portion is a nostril. Why a nostril
you ask? The original image was that of a man
resting his chin in the palm of his hand, with his
fingers closed.
|
Abstract
(ink)... simply an abstract image using geometric
and organic shapes to make up the image. Then
applying positive and negative areas to complete
the look. |
|
1-point
Perspective (pencil)
... Just what is says, a one-point
perspective drawing (1 vanishing point). The
vanishing point is centered vertically and just
left of center horizontally. |
2-point
Perspective
(pencil)... The same perspective as used in the
Golfer image, but this is applied to a real-life
setting...a small kitchen. Where are the vanishing
points to this image? If you said to the left and
right, off the page... you're correct! |
